My birth took place in an old stable.
On a far off ranch.
My parents were far to fond of their freedom to roam the skies as they wished.
Far to free to take care of a hatchling. So they abandoned me....
The dwarf that found me and took me in did not see me as something to make money with... But rather something that he is supposed to nourish and love. His wife stared at me with despise. But in his glare I saw calmness none of the few earth-bounded I met did.
The first few months, he managed to feed me with bugs. But soon enough I completely rejected that sort of food. At first, my caretaker abandoned all hope. But when his chickens got attacked at night by a fox, I killed it with my peek and talons, and fed on its meet. He realized then, that meet is my nutrition.
As time passed we bonded like a father and son.
Three years later I was almost bigger than himself, big enough to put a saddle on me.
That year I took of to the skies for the first time.
Two years later He rode me for the first time. It was like nothing I have ever experienced before. That was when I realized that either death or nothing will take my loyalty from him.
One night, bandits attacked the ranch and I fought them off by myself, killing a few, even thought the dwarf was skilled with a sword.
One year later... I was fully grown.
War had emerged. One that licked earths surface with flames and obliterated all life.
When he awoke me, I was fully armored.
''Sorry to rouse you old friend. But duty calls. Will you watch my back... Perhaps for the last time?'' I snorted.
''Thank you.''- he said and mounted me.
Arriving at the battlefield, I saw many of my kind with riders on them.
But none like me. None had the color that my feathers did.
That day, I was roused wearing a plate armor.
That day, I was roused to go down in history in an epic battle.
And as the horn of war was sounded...
The Red Griffin's charge begun.

The Streets Looked Different
The streets looked different, And the winds they didn't howl, Every single step I took, Was coupled with a scowl. And the streets felt different, They lost all memory, Somehow.

Gaze
You're a bright strange flower
in my garden of spoiled salted soil.
Why did you bloom here in this,
Your almost fantasy, my dear your precious.
Hard to bare this sick affair.
All that stirs alive in me
all that was buried becomes unearthed.
and what was never there twists and turns and births your curse, I'm cursed...
I watch you wither away,
away from me and my world of grey.
I plead I beg, please stay!
keep me mesmerized, keep me lost in your gaze.
Oh well my strange strange flower, keep me as a memory, keep me as a sparkle in your eye.

Echos Through
The empty halls echos with the laughter of ghost past. As
the rain hits the roof and thunder bangs like a drum. The
heart beats louder and breaks easily. With every jump
you make a piece fall. The pictures fell off the wall and
shattered glass went everywhere. Oh how it glisten in the
light like glittered. So shiny. The biggest piece catches the
eye and stabs through the pupil. The tears run black and
bruise the skin...
